Force transducers are used for the reliable measurement of tension and compression forces. The force transducers from WIKA can be delivered with affixed strain gauges or thin-film sensors. The strain gauge technology offers a large geometrical variety and high accuracy, and it is well suited for detecting even the smallest forces. The span of the measuring ranges of our force transducers that can be delivered stretches from 0.5 N to over 10,000 kN. Load cells with thin-film sensors are very cost-effective for special manufacture or OEM applications and also for safety-related applications due to their redundant output signals.

FAQ

What is a relative reversibility error (hysteresis)?

A relative reversibility error is the difference between the output signals of an increasing and decreasing series at the same force, F, relative to the output signal less the zero signal with increasing force, in the installed condition.

What is a nominal measuring path?

The nominal measuring path is the spring travel of the outer force application points, or the surfaces of the force transducer, in the measuring direction relative to each other and due to a load with nominal force.
